TILT
Firm T-shirt
Knowing what a tough task self-promotion can be, we were especially stoked to learn that our arcade-themed TILT tee recently landed in Print’s 2009 Regional Design Annual (page 122), the most comprehensive survey of graphic design in the United States. Print magazine received more than 5,000 entries for this year’s competition, which showcases the best creative work produced from each region of the country.
If you’ve been to our studio, it’s obvious that old-school video and pinball arcade culture influenced both our company name and office décor. So when we decided to extend our own brand to apparel, laying the arcade theme onto heavyweight cotton felt like a natural. In referencing the classic Midway game Galaga, we created a shirt that playfully relates the arcade experience to how we do business: be competitive and use your skill to stand out—but always try to keep it fun.

THE NEED
Cox Greater Louisiana provides digital voice, video and data products to more than 307,000 customers across 13 parishes of South-Central Louisiana, from Baton Rouge to Lafayette. However, as a franchise of a national company, Cox constantly battles public perception that it is somehow not “local”—that its profits are funneled directly back to the parent corporation without making true, long-term investments in the communities where it operates. The reality, however, couldn’t be further from the truth, and Cox chose TILT to help tell its compelling story of support.
Award-winning graphic designer and creative director Lonnie Carnaggio has joined the team at TILT, a Baton Rouge communication design firm.
Carnaggio comes to TILT after six years as Creative Director/Partner with Object 9, a nationally recognized marketing firm. He joins Scott Hodgin and James Sypsa as agency partners, and will provide design services and project management to clients across all disciplines, including: branding, advertising, Web design and development, packaging, promotions and environmental.
With 14 years of experience in graphic design, advertising, and marketing, Carnaggio’s wide-ranging industry portfolio includes banking and finance, beverage/packaged goods, healthcare, industrial/manufacturing and telecommunications. He has received numerous local, regional, national and international awards for creative excellence, including American Design Awards, American Advertising Federation (ADDYs), ReBrand 100, Telly Awards, Summit Awards and International ARC Awards (Annual Reports). He is a Louisiana State University graphic design graduate.
