Cox Greater Louisiana
2008 Community Report & Website
THE NEED
Cox Greater Louisiana provides digital voice, video and data products to more than 307,000 customers across 13 parishes of South-Central Louisiana, from Baton Rouge to Lafayette. However, as a franchise of a national company, Cox constantly battles public perception that it is somehow not “local”—that its profits are funneled directly back to the parent corporation without making true, long-term investments in the communities where it operates. The reality, however, couldn’t be further from the truth, and Cox chose TILT to help tell its compelling story of support.
THE WORK
Our concept states in no uncertain terms where Cox Greater Louisiana’s interests and community commitment lie: here—in every corner of the cities and towns that populate its service area. Over the course of ten annual report chapters, we touched on the tremendous breadth of Cox’s community benefit, from sheer economic impact to hurricane response. The printed report was designed to give readers a fast-paced, visually driven experience with minimal text, large photographs and interesting information graphics that quantify Cox’s support at a glance. A dynamic companion microsite (www.CoxIsHere.com) opens with a personal message by Cox Greater Louisiana Senior Vice President and General Manager Jacqui Vines with dives deeper into each chapter, letting users navigate through stories about additional community support projects not contained in the printed report.
